About the City of Rincon
 The small town of Rincon has been Puerto Rico's favorite vacation destination for years! Rincon means 'corner' in Spanish - and that is exactly what makes our 'Town of Beautiful Sunsets' so special. Rincon lies in the corner of Puerto Rico's northwest coast where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea.
This unique location creates some of the best surfing waves in the world when the currents collide from October to April. It's no wonder that Rincon was first discovered by surfers - even mentioned in The Beach Boys' beach anthem 'Surfing Safari'. Jump in your car and head for Sandy Beach, Spanish Steps, Domes Beach, Lighthouse Park, Maria's Beach or Steps Beach and watch one of the most amazing sports you'll ever see.
Even though surfing made Rincon famous - it has become a major resort destination year-round. Winter is high season for surfers, boarders and whale-watching and escaping the cold northern winters. Hotels, restaurants and beaches are full of activity and there is always lots to do: SCUBA Diving off nearby Desecheo Island, snorkeling, horseback riding, mountain biking, swimming, long walks on the beach and of course those unforgettable sunsets every night as the sun sets over the Caribbean.
