Description from the publisher
Mr. Tomás Batista is a well renowned sculptor. Among his creations is El Monumento al Jibaro Puertorriqueño (Monument to the Common Puerto Rican Countryman) in Cayey. In this monument Batista reflects the humbleness and hard working nature of the typical Puerto Rican farmer and his family. The monument is located by the Luis A. Ferré highway. Next to the monument you will also find a resting spot. Approx: 60 minutes from San Juan.
How to get there
Take road #52 towards Cayey. The monument lies on the side of the road.

"Very good"
Stopped on this place on my way to San Juan from Ponce. The view is breath taking! You can see an beautiful scenery below right next to the monument. The resting area was also very clean and accessible for the 1.5 hour trip to San Juan.
