Beautiful cave with petrogliphs and drawings.

Cave Lucero is perhaps the most important archaeological and cultural resource of the region. It has been well known and visited for centuries but just a few years ago it has been studied and researched extensively after being threatened by mining operations and the use of explosives in nearby areas. Municipal and government agencies have taken measures to protect this important resource from the damages that can result from the mining activities. Recognized archaeologists have researched not only the historical value of the petrogliphs and drawings, but also their cultural value. Studies are being made to find the best way to reverse most of the damage that unscrupulous visitors have caused during the last centuries.
