The only volcanic canyon formed in the Island, the San Cristóbal Canyon lies between the towns of Barranquitas and Aibonito. At almost ten kilometers long, it is where the Barranquitas and Usabón rivers pass through.

Opened novemeber 18 1998 by Adolfo Rodriguez, the "Posada Familiar el Coquí" continues with Aibonito's long tradition of intimate hospitality that dates back to the 1930's.
