The Pastel Festival is a special event that celebrates the origins, history and culture of the Puerto Rican "pastel", a local dish made from plantains. The "pastel" is as Puerto Rican as the Coqu�, being not only the preferred side dish on christmas time, but also a cultural symbol of Puerto Rican cuisine. The festival includes music, artisans, kiosks, and more.
